Alleex Cloud vs Lovable
EU by default.
Not a region toggle.
Lovable is a US-headquartered AI app builder with a live in-browser prompt interface. It offers EU, US, and AU data-residency regions as an opt-in project setting and holds SOC2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications.
Alleex Cloud is EU-resident by default — not a toggle — and generates GDPR compliance into every app at every tier.
Lovable strengths
Where Lovable is ahead
Accurate comparisons require stating where the competitor excels. These are real advantages — not strawmen.
Formal certifications
Lovable holds SOC2 Type II and ISO 27001 — independently audited and publicly documented. Alleex Cloud's SOC2 is in progress (target Q4 2026); Lovable is ahead on formal certs.
Established community
Lovable has a large developer community, an extensive guide library, and a well-documented template gallery, giving new users many reference points.
Region flexibility
Lovable supports EU, US, and AU data-residency regions, giving teams that need to operate across multiple geographies a single platform choice.
The comparison
Named, specific, verifiable
Every claim below is drawn from each product's public documentation. Lovable's SOC2/ISO are real credentials — the contrast is that Alleex Cloud is EU-native, not compliant-with-a-toggle.
| Dimension | Lovable | Alleex Cloud |
|---|---|---|
| EU data residency | Region toggle — opt-in per project (EU, US, or AU). Not the default. | EU-native by default. No toggle, no opt-in, no risk of forgetting. |
| GDPR compliance in generated apps | Your responsibility. Lovable generates code; GDPR measures must be added separately. | compliance-eu module composed in automatically: consent capture, DSAR portal, audit log — not a post-generation task. |
| Formal certifications | SOC2 Type II + ISO 27001 (held). | SOC2 Type II in progress — target Q4 2026. ISO 27001 roadmap after SOC2. Competitors are ahead here. |
| Audit log | Enterprise tier. | Hash-chained, every app, every tier. Chain heads witnessed in Sigstore Rekor. |
| DSAR self-serve (Art. 15/17/20) | Not generated into apps. | Portal generated into every app that processes personal data; every step hash-chained. |
| Code generation model | Freeform LLM code generation. | Composition from vetted, compliance-tagged modules — not freeform codegen. More auditable; modules can be independently reviewed. |
| DPF / Privacy Shield reliance | Not explicitly stated. | Alleex Cloud does not rely on DPF for any transfer. Customer app data stays in the EU. US vendors (Vercel, Clerk) for the builder dashboard only, under SCCs. |
| Pricing entry point | Free tier / Pro $25/mo / Business $50/mo / Enterprise. | Free €0 / Pro €29/mo / Business €59/mo / Enterprise custom. Prices may change before general availability. |
Honest about our own exposure: customer app data stays in the EU (Neon Frankfurt, Cloudflare EU, Better Auth). The Alleex Cloud builder dashboard uses US vendors (Vercel, Clerk) under SCCs — separate from customer app data, and documented on our compliance page.
The difference
Composition vs freeform codegen
Lovable generates code from a prompt using a large language model. Alleex Cloud composes apps from vetted, compliance-tagged modules — each module can be independently reviewed, every composition step is hash-chained into the audit log. This is not a style preference: for teams in regulated markets (finance, healthcare, HR, legal) the auditability of the composition pipeline is itself a compliance artefact.
Neither approach is universally better. Freeform codegen is faster for prototyping when compliance constraints are low. Composition is slower to bootstrap and more opinionated — but produces output that a DPO or auditor can inspect at the module level.

Compliance
The canonical source of truth
This comparison page gives an overview. The detailed, up-to-date record of Alleex Cloud's certification status, subprocessors, data residency architecture, audit log design, and DSAR pipeline is on /compliance. That page is the authoritative reference — not this one.
Short version: Alleex Cloud SOC2 Type II is in progress (target Q4 2026); ISO 27001 is roadmap. Lovable holds both today. We do not display badges we have not earned.
